Catalina's Calendar of Events

Catalina Island is home to an array of special events throughout the year. No matter what the season, you'll discover festivals, concerts, races, celebrations and galas. Here's just a few of the many things we look forward to throughout the year as well as a few upcoming events you won't want to miss. 
Spring
Spring brings an array of wildflowers to the island's interior, as well as a number of notable events, including live performances in Avalon Theatre, a craft and art festival along the waterfront, Taste Around Avalon and the Catalina Conservancy Ball. 
Summer
Summer is Catalina's most popular season and visitors will discover Avalon's epic Fourth of July celebration and with the Summer Concert Series and weekend beach parties at Descanso Beach. 
Fall 
Fall is festival season on the Island and, thanks to near-perfect weather, is just about everyone's idea of the best time to visit Catalina. Make plans now to attend the Catalina Art Festival, the Catalina Wine Festival, the Catalina Film Festival or JazzTrax.
Winter
With its peaceful ambiance and relaxed attitude, winter is the time to visit the island if you are hoping to get away from it all. In the winter, Catalina hosts an array of holiday fun and a not-to-be-missed New Year's Eve Gala.
