Direct booking cancellation policy: If you have to cancel, and do so before 10 days from your arrival date, your deposit will be refunded, less a $100 service fee. Cancellations made within 10 days of your arrival date will receive a refund less one night's stay.· No show reservations are responsible for entire reservation amount.· Early check outs will not be refunded. Please note that reservations made through third parties adhere to the policies agreed upon between each party at the time of booking.

Our check-in time is 3 p.m. If you arrive on the island before that time, we will be happy to store your luggage until your room is ready on site in a secured location.

 

Check-out time is 11 a.m. and you may leave your luggage on property until closer to your departure time or we can send your bags to the terminal you are departing from for a nominal fee.

 

Please note that we are a smaller boutique hotel and do not have elevators. We are not staffed to provide bell services though we are happy to help our guests whenever possible.

 

Please remember that the Aurora Hotel is non-smoking throughout the building including our roof top deck and all guest balconies and public spaces. Guests who smoke or vape on property will be subject to additional per night charges.

 

Pets are not allowed in our property.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING COVID-19 PROCEDURES

Given the widespread awareness of COVID-19, we believe travelers understand the risks of booking non-refundable or partially refundable travel. Therefore, except when required by law, we will apply the hotel's policies for traveler-initiated cancellations or no-shows.

 

ADDITIONAL RESERVATION INFORMATION: For Catalina Express and Newport Flyer vessel reservations: You must have your reservation number with you when you arrive at the boat dock and check in 45 minutes prior to your departure time. Reservations are held until 15 minutes before departure. You are allowed two bags per person, which must not exceed 50 pounds per bag or 37 inches by 23 inches by 23 inches in size. A carry-on that fits under an airline-style seat is also allowed. For more information or directions to the port, please visit www.catalinaexpress.com or www.catalinainfo.com.

 

Cancellation Policy for both companies: Passengers may cancel their reservation without obligation, provided they contact the Aurora Hotel directly at least 24 hours prior to departure time and obtain a cancellation number from the hotel. Passengers who do not show up on the day of travel will be charged the full amount of the round-trip fare. For Island Express Helicopter reservations: You must check in 30 minutes prior to your departure time and reservations are held until 15 minutes before departure. You are allowed up to 25 lbs per person total – no coolers, beach chairs, or bicycles will be accepted. For more information or directions to the port visit www.islandexpress.com.

 

Cancellation Policy for Island Express: Passengers may cancel their reservation without obligation, provided they contact the Aurora Hotel at least 48 hours prior to departure and obtain a cancellation number. Passengers who do not show up on the day of travel will be charged the full amount of the round-trip fare.

 

If you booked Taxi service through us: When you arrive at the boat terminal in Avalon, walk out to the parking area. There are taxis waiting for every boat which are white, 7-passenger vans that say Catalina Transportation Services. Let the driver know you are going to the Aurora Hotel. When you arrive at the hotel, the driver will assist you with your luggage to the front desk. A voucher will be ready for your taxi driver to retrieve. Please be aware any gratuity for the driver is not included in the voucher and is at your discretion. Also note that the taxi services other guests for other hotels as well and may require a short wait upon landing in Catalina.
